What is a mesh banner?
Unlike a standard PVC banner, which is solid material, a mesh banner is made from PVC containing thousands of tiny holes. These holes are so small that they won’t compromise your images or text, however, they will allow air to pass through them. Generally speaking a mesh banner is made from 370gsm meshed PVC – so it remains durable and heavyweight, despite being porous.
What is the difference between mesh and PVC?
Mesh is PVC – just with holes in it. Both standard PVC banners and mesh banners are printed in full colour, with UV resistant inks. Both are durable and reasonably heavyweight. The difference comes in the small holes in the material.
What are the mesh banner benefits?
A standard PVC banner has obvious benefits: it’s heavyweight, durable and rain-proof. Mesh banners have the same benefits, whilst having one additional crucial advantage: they can be placed in windy spots. A standard PVC banner, if placed in a windy tunnel or passageway, is likely to flap. Not only can this potentially damage your banner, it will decrease the legibility for passers-by.
